Serena Ruth is a dancer currently training full time in London at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance on the BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance. She trained regularly as a young dancer whilst growing up in Jersey with the St Ouens School of Dancing, since she was three years old.

ArtHouse Jersey awarded Serena with a grant to support her travel costs to the 2017 IDO Tap World Championships. Since 2016 she has trained with the leading UK tap dance company 'Tap Attack', with whom she travelled to compete in the Championships in Reisa, Germany. Overall the team were incredibly successful and placed strongly in every category.

'The formation number which I was a part of made it through the preliminaries, semis and quarters to the finals and ended up winning the entire section! The whole team were over the moon with the results and it truly made all of the hard work more than worth it.

I would like to say a major thank you to ArtHouse Jersey and the financial help you have afforded me in order to make this opportunity possible and enabling me to engage with something on such a scale. To be a part of the World Champion team is such a privilege and I value the experience immensely.'
